Fantastic sculptures with incredible painting... Now that I bought these I have to start painting them. Mike thank you again for sharing your art.
 
I guess the Turkish officer bust (beautiful on its own right) can be relatively easily be converted to a bust of general Liman von Sanders. Any thoughts on that from fellow planeteers?

Definitely!!!
Hadn't even picked up on this option Gazer.
The General may have been a source for Paul & Steve perhaps.
Adding neck decoration & ensuring rank for senior officer would be straight forward mods.
And features could be painted to represent older Officer.

Ever since reading Alan Moorehead's wonderful book about the Gallipoli campaign, General von Sanders image was etched in my brain, and as soon as I saw this bust I was thinking: Hey, it's von Sanders, just with too long of a mustache and slightly incorrect uniforms...:woot:
