A beautiful sculpt by Nello Rivieccio of Wallenstein, very little prep and now undercoated.
Painting is acrylic and oils. The armour has been painted in steel acrylic paint and allowed to dry, then a lamp black oil over the top then rubbed off with an ear bud. When that had dried, a going over the high points with polished steel.
That's it for now.

Cracking figure, love what you have done with the armour and the eyes are brilliant. Is that the order of the golden fleece around his neck.or is that an erroneous reference I've picked up along the way?

Cheers Simon

Yes that's the order of the Golden fleece, he was a great military leader but fell out with quite a few people and ended up being murdered.
Thanks for looking in.

Thank you both for the comments, it's a very nice figure and simple to put together, the detail is very good too. It is a joy to paint.
Thanks again.

Looking good, I really like the metals and will steal that idea in future......

Nello really is a fantastic sculptor, we are lucky he is doing so many subjects we like.

Thanks both of you, yes lovely pose and Nello keeps knocking them out. Some superb figures from him lately.
The metal work is easy and works for me, give it a go.

Aye, murdered by a Scot called Alexander Leslie.

Great choice Bob, good start. Nice work on the armour.

Thank you all for the great comments, I'm loving this one, it's a lot different from Napoleonics.
