Painted in oils over enamels.

Things didn't go 100% according to plan, but pleased with the end result.

Jay,
I think that we have all been there, done that, and the paint did not turn out we had envisioned but turned out OK.:D I have.
Very subtle colours and muted. Well done.
Cheers

Cheers John,
Things like spending lots of time doing a rabbit skin, being really pleased with it, only for the hand to cover it all up.... DOH

For some reason the eyes didn't work for me on this one, usually I'm quite good at those. The skin I couldn't get right for some time.

Just learning to paint so - yeah - it never turns out as 'planned', assuming I had a plan in the first place.

Well done Jay! Pity the other hand isn't shown so you could have 'tattoo-d' one hand LOVE and the other HATE. I really like the muted color tones and soft shading.

All the best,
Dan

Cheers Dan,

I do try and push the contrast thing, but keep blending them out again.

I wonder sometimes whether to paint a figure to look like a model, or stick to trying to achieve realism.
