Legendarion;
I thank you for your comment...I appreciate all feedback; even if it was only your " bored " face icon. I am sorry that my posting bored you to the point that you felt it was necessary for you to post such a feedback without a single written comment (pro or con).

You doing well but ... I cant see any progress. Plain colors, shining minis, no shades nor shadows...
Where is elementary drybrush or layering? You have a talent but you do not use it. I wonder why?

Legendarion;
I again thank you for your comment(s) and I do appreciate your concern in regard to " my not making any progress "...You are making comments on a (commission project) where the client requested that I paint & build the posted figures. The client requested (game play figures that were new, clean, crisp, colorful and sealed in a protective high gloss finish)...Since the client is paying the bill...in my book...the client is always right and I try to provide what he/she wants per their specific requests/instructions!

On other sites (where I am known); members know that I hate working on Warhammer 40k materials (especially) and sci-fi materials (in general)...My forte is building fantasy vignettes and Nostalgic Americana dioramas...and I am a proven and awarded master at both. I notice that you had no comments on my past postings of materials from these two venue areas.

Thank you for your concern and comment (you have talent but you do not use it)...With all due respect for your statement; I believe that I use my talent quite well on projects that call for the varied
techniques that you mentioned.

No offence, I only just begun to searching threads. I thought that using GW shades is a simple way to make flat colors look better. But you are right, client is paying the bill, so it`s up to him. Anyway I couldn`t find any fantasy vignettes and Nostalgic Americana dioramas by you on this forum. Where I can see it?

Legendarion...I am a basic newcomer to this site and really don't know how to navigate around it...I have a number of postings; maybe a more experienced member that reads this can inform you as to where you can view my Nostalgic Americana dioramas (T.O. Dunn/Salvage Yard...Helfax Boat Work Shop...Bait Shop...and others).

Why here? Don`t you have any portfolio in the other place?

Legendarion...No, I don't have any sort of work portfolio. I do not have a business related to miniatures...I don't advertise or solicit myself as a figure painter...I don't seek commission work(s)...I paint and build for my pure pleasure and enjoyment (plus to leave a legacy collection for my wife & son). I no longer build for major model shows/competitions (which I did for 5 years...some 35+ years ago). The commissions that do come my way are strictly by word of mouth among fans, collectors, gamers and businesses...So I see no real reason to have any kind of portfolio per say...I am a member of a few computer sites and post my work(s) on them...usually as an overview of my style/theme of work...like (fantasy vignettes and Nostalgic Americana) in small scale.
