I started a Stormtroopers Welch Fusilier. The musket and sword/bayonet part are badly warped. Is there a technique to straighten them?

Hi Harry,

I just boil some water, put into a mug, hold the part in then shape it when it comes out. This usually does the trick.
Tips;
If you use tweezers to hold the part dont submerge the area being held by them as they dig into the piece as it softens and leaves gouges
Take your time!
If it doesn't work the first time just repeat as many times as you want.

Harry the guys are right about the technique but why don't you drop a PM to stu.
I'm sure he'll replace as it's in my experience very very very rare for Stormtroopers to send something out that's below standard.
In fact I've never had a problem with well over 20 kits
Cheers

I did send an email to Stormtroopers last night but, as yet, no response. If the heating technique works why waste the postage & new parts?

Harry didn't realise you were so far away although that wouldn't have stopped Stu from sending it. Glad it worked for you. look forward to seeing the results.
Cheers

I can attest to the hot water treatment as well. In fact, the musket literally relaxed while held by tweezers in the water and was straight when I pulled it out.
