I started painting with Warhammer 40,000, so this is pretty much my tribute to what got me here. In the early 2000s, Games Workshop made Inquisitor, their one (and only one, as far as I know) game in 54mm scale. They made this Space Marine figure for that game.
The game itself has been out of print for years, so I kept a close eye on eBay for for a long time. There are a lot of terrible recasts out there, so I just waited until I could be sure that I was getting an original. It took ages, but it was definitely worth the wait.
Although this is technically a gaming piece, I wanted to take a figure painter's approach to it. I took my time and did the whole thing in oils and enamels. Games Workshop's stuff may not be to everyone's tastes here, but personally, I like the look of Space Marines. I do a lot more than Warhammer figures these days, but I thought this would be a good place to start posting some pictures.
