We have overhauled the links system to a faster, cleaner and meaner link directory.
All of the links from the old directory are all moved over to the new one. The links directory now sports a cleaner more intuitive interface for adding links, and are now also alphabetized as well. The display of the links are now less cluttered although with a loss of the some eye-candy (country flags, which I will work to integrate)

Next up is the gallery. Good news and bad news, good news: we are implementing an all new gallery package that will be 100% integrated into the forums software, the bad news: the old gallery will shutdown to archive only. At this time. gallery album requests are on hold. We are still awaiting some of the language files for the new gallery and until then work to implement will begin. The new gallery system will make use of foreign languages as well, where as the current gallery system does not.

News: I've recieved several inquiries on the topic of news it's submission and it's display. Acquiring news: by in large we post up what we are submitted and on slow days/weeks we go out and search (sometimes as just recently "news" is found but isn't timely due to outdated webpages ;) ) The preferred method is to have it sent in, and many do, thankyou. This ensures it is accurate and timely. What we look for in new product news:
[*]Logo - if unknown or do not have
[*]Website address if exists
[*]Images
[*]Title of piece
[*]Sculptors/ Painters (boxart) names
[*]Scale
[*]White-metal or resin

We are trying to gradually work in these changes, subtly and slowly, most of us do not like radical change and neither do I, however we want to bring to you a clean, easy to use format and deliver as effeciently as possible all the information and community planetFigure offers.

til next time,

Gordy, Thanks for all your hard work, and most of all the time you have given to making this site the best out there.~Gary (y) (y) (y) (y)

Gordy,

I would also like to add my 2 cents and thank you very much for giving us such a great place to meet. I think we as a figure community have gained quite a lot and it has helped us all to make new friends whom we may never have known. I know for myself that because of the site and all your hard work, it has made me want to strive to do better and to share what little I know.

Again, Thanks so much!

Joe

Agree with all that has been said. Don't ever think that I would have been so inspired to try harder if it wasn't for you guys.

Thanks Gordy for doing this, I know it must eat away a lot of your sculpting time :)
