wet pallet for oil

Just read in KIT FIGUREN (german language) about a wet pallet for oil;s.
The guy made it as follow:
some undertray covered with wet kitchenpaper. (wetted with water)
Above this bakingpaper. Here is the paint put on.
He said that this will leave the paint in very good conditions for a few days.
This sound very good to me.

Is there somebody who has experience with this???

I do the same and use wax paper over a wet paper towell. I cover everything after painting. It works well.

Marc: That is the set-up used by many acrylic painters. If you go to http://www.figurines-tv.com/kws/ there is a little movie clip under bases showing Jeremie Teboul making one. It will keep acrylics wet for days. I use my freezer for oils. Larry

yes, i know that, but the guy is using it for oils to.

I've used this set-up for years with oils. It works very well. Just be sure your oils don't get wet with water!

Lately, I've been putting my covered palette in the freezer - no water, of course - and find this works even better, especially for small quantities of paint.
