For those who do not have a dealer in our area , what about some figure reviews? With so many interesting releases it would be nice to see a kit unpainted, layed out before starting.

Just a thought
Craig

true, that's a feature currently being developed...

I wholeheartedly agree seeing a figure in the raw is much, much more appealing than a painted one when considering for purchase, painting of a figure masks what is truly there. Many times details are painted in and the subtle nuances of deatils are lost..

And that would be sharp, clear, high-contrast detail photos :)

Yes, a great artist can put details where they are not, the number and fitting of parts would be a big help in deciding where to put my pennies.

Thanks
Craig

Hi
Figure reviews a great idea.More than once I have bought something
that hasn't quite added up on assembly, as opposed to the photo on
the box.

As witnessesd first hand the "box top" is never a production piece <_<

Where do I need to send these reviews? Or do I just have to post them in the forum?
I also wanted to add a reply to the new releases section but I have no permission to say something there? I just wanted to let you know that you can order diorama studio products with me at: [email protected]. I'm in Belgium and also sell through mailorder. If someone want to receive our newsletters, just send a mail to the above adress with the subject "newsletter".

best wishes,

Gino

I think a forum dedicated to reviews by the users would be a very useful feature.

Perhaps there should be some simple guidelines posted as a "sticky note" to help those of us who have more experience reading them than writing them :)

That way anyone can review a product and the quality of the reviews will be kept at a consistent level.

That's a good idea, every article I've ever written (never on modelling btw) has required guidelines for submission and a stylesheet from the publisher, although it needn't go that far it would be useful for consistency.

there are some specific plans in the works for reviews, the forum idea as good as it seems is going to muddy up an already discombobulated forums mess..

i'm holding onto the idea though....
