Berlin is a really cool city to travel in. Do they walking tour with a guide and go to the Check point Charlie museum. The red marble walls in Mohrenstrasse ubahn station (i think thats the spelling??) are made from the red marble in the former Reich Chancellery building.

I would visit the Filmmuseum on Potsdamer Platz nearby Sonycenter.
and nearby Schloss Charlottenburg there is a nice modellershop.
Please feel free to email me, I live a little bit outside Berlin.

OH MY GOD! Don't say that! I used to live their! Once upon a time. There and Turner Barracks. Many, MANY fond memories there.

As I am interested in the german resistance, if I was there I would make a B-line to the German Resistance Memorial Centre (the old Bendler block) where the July 20, 1944 coup was launched after Stauffenberg's bomb plot. Its now a museum to all forms of resistance to the Nazis.

Also, there is the Ploetzensee Prison where the opponents fo the regime met their ends (a sobering place).

By way of a very large guide book - I would recommend "Berlin Then and Now" published by the folks at After the Battle Magazine. A fabulous book!

Have a great time (envy, envy)
