One of the finds in the deep cupboard drawer.

I know it's A DF Grieve sculpt because it's engraved on the base and also a sailor but of what era I don't know .

any help !

Interesting! I wonder why I started to paint the trousers buff! perhaps summer wear.
there seems to be a few bits with it and no obvious place to fix them IE some sort of dagger a scabbard and water bottle and the sword hilt seems somewhat ornate for a rating .

As this was in a box with other figures that I put out the way when I gave up painting some twenty odd years ago these bit may not be his , and way way before pictures let alone box art
