Fellow Modellers,
Sadly another year has all too quickly passed by, but the good news is that the White Rose Xmas do is just on the Horizon.
I am sure, like me, you are looking forward to the 2015 December meeting. As always this will be a great opportunity to see a Display of Models from some of the best in the Country, have a Snack, and a cup of Tea or Coffee. It is a great few hours chatting models with fellow enthusiasts, catching up on the years with those who are re-visiting the club or just welcoming occasional visitors who come for the Christmas event.
If you live within striking distance of Leeds and have an interest in figure modelling you can be sure of a warm welcome.
There will also be a small number of Traders attending who are regular club members and hoping to tempt you with that last minute kit or base for the Xmas stocking.
For those unfamiliar with the location it is,
Paxton Horticultural Hall, 186, Kirkstall Lane, Leeds LS5 2AB. We aim to open at around 10.30 and finish around 1630. Sounds a long time but it flies by!
There will be a cover charge of £3.00 which will cover the Hire of the Hall and the provision of an ample supply of free food.
Be a Judge for a Day...........As always everyone attending will be able to vote on the displays and self judge the competition the winners are those receiving the highest number of individual votes. We would love you to enter so if you wish to bring a few models to add to the display, please don't be shy, all levels are welcome. For details of the competition please refer to the website,

Once again with Gary Needham's help I will be organising and running the Club Auction. Thanks to the generosity of members and traders in previous years we have been able to make a substantial contribution to Club funds.
Once again I would ask you to raid your, Loft, Grey Army, Library,Modelling Rooms, Boxes, and bring those unwanted bits and pieces that could be just the ticket for a fellow modeller. Any unsold items or items that fail to reach a sensible reserve price I am quite happy to place on Ebay on behalf of the Club. The auction is not necessarily restricted to modelling items, donations of Wine, Spirits and other items in good condition are also gratefully received. Books, Magazines, etc, will be put to one side with an honesty box to save time in the Auction which will last for around 30 minutes but obviously depends on the number of items.
Please note that all items once donated belong to the Club and all money raised will be for club funds, there are no personal reserves (Except by previous arrangement).
Although not obligatory your generosity both in bringing items for sale and purchasing items on offer will be of tremendous help in funding the running of the club over the coming year. We pay a generous allowance of £50 to guest speakers at our monthly meetings to cover their travel expenses and the auction helps to supplement this. We are always looking for guest speakers and so if you personally are able, or if you know anyone who is able to put together an interesting talk or modelling demonstration please contact Ian Johnson, I know he would love to hear from you as he starts to prepare the calendar for 2016.
Thanks in advance for your contributions and we look forward to seeing you on the 12th.
Best regards.............Keith.
