I attended the third Figure World North show in Easingwold on Saturday, so I thought I’d share a few photos I took of some of the pieces that caught my eye (plus one of my own I’ve sneaked in). Not that plenty of others didn't catch my eye as well, I just didn't have the time or opportunity to photograph them all.

Phone camera only and the pics don’t really do a lot of them proper justice, they look much better to the Mk. I eyeball. But still worth a share all the same.

I managed a bronze for my own efforts, which I was pleased about (a) as it was the first comp of any kind that I have ever entered anything into and (b) the overall standard was, as ever, very high with some lovely stuff on display from some seriously talented painters.

So without further ado ….

My own personal pick for "Best Of Show" would have to be the scrapyard. Fabulous concept and execution with so much to enjoy and lots of attention to detail.

Finally, a big thanks to the guys from the White Rose club who organise the show.
