Hello

I've got a question for you all. Since childhood I use the good old smelly white spirit to clean my brushes. Since then I've grown up (a very little) and got married (with a fabulous Belgian, the best). But she doesn't like the smell of it.
So I wondered are there any modelers using the odourless version and does it clean as could as the smelly one?

I personaly use brand Winsor&Newton White Spirit and it seems that it has dicreased smell, I am married too and do paint in the living room, right next to the sofa where my wife watches TV and I never heard anything wrong about that it smells.... but maybe she is so tolerant:)
OK, at the end I have used more brands of White Spirit, but thi Winsor&Newton is with the minimum smell
goood luck

Patrick,
You can buy odorless white spirit...I have the same problems.
Conny, (fredericus rex/Hz forum) sells a medium (mall medium) with the parfum from orange's. I use that for the moment and my wife is now comming more to my shack then before. And, i must say, X-mas is very early this year.:D:D:D

Oh, you shouldn't :D

'Odourless' white spirits are the way to go. In addition to smelling much less they're actually safer to use indoors too.

Talens, Winsor & Newton and Schmincke all make low-odour solvents for oil painting.

But you might be able to pick up the same sort of thing in a hardware store or wherever they sell oil-based paints for housepainting. The artists' version and the type sold to housepainters can be very similar (sometimes identical) but obviously the second is much cheaper!

I've just picked up this product for cleaning by Demco. Citrus cleaner and seems to work well.
