WIP Winston Churchill MAUSER C96 leather holster

Hello everyone
Can someone help?
What type of leather holster was the young Winston Churchill wearing in this image?
There are several but I don't know which one is correct.

Looking at the picture he's wearing it on a Sam Browne waist belt with a cord lanyard

Having looked at the photo of Winston, the holster worn on the right hip, shows the pistol grip facing forward.
None of the holsters shown are the right ones, that is assuming the photos are the right way round. The sword is drawn right handed and the pistol left handed, Churchill has the pistol the right way round for a left hand draw.

Churchill had a problem with his right shoulder, and consequently had to use a pistol with his left hand.
The C96 Mauser was in a wooden holster.

Presumably, the holster must have had a belt attachment to suit this necessity.

Reminds of a book I read when I was about 12, called "Young Winston Churchill " described his adventures in a way a 12 year old boy loved.

That fits the bill, shame can't see the back to see if there is a belt loop too.

I would imagine that it was easy enough for a local cobbler or leathersmith to knock up a belt loop or two....
