I got this bust a few years ago and have been on my to do list for awhile it is a 300mm scale (app 1|6th) in size and stright from the box I will be fixing the left eye tonight as it looks way wrong in the photo..... He represents coming off second best but still with a job to do, Still have a way to go

Hi Chris,looking good mate,but don't think the Para is feeling that way,He He:D.Yeah the eye needs a touch up,but like what you have done.I painted the same bust a few years ago.The sculptors name rings a bell,:rolleyes:I hope he sees it.All the best mate,and keep up the good work.

Morning man,..
the eyes,.. yes a wee going over there, touch of purple in his hat,more of a dark crimson look, perhaps knock back the five oclock shadow less is often better, being an RSM in those time he was more than likely an old regular soldier try a little grey at his temples,..although he is face shows wounding an RSM even in trying conditions had that in built in ability to stay parade ground appearance......

looked simple as a casting, but it was designed to make the painter to think on the situation.....good to see him surface again after all these years
