With liberation came peace

Hi guys,

here's one of my last figures I have painted.
It's my little fantasy called:
with liberation came peace - Normandy 1944.
It's the 54mm Soldiers sculpted by Laruccia and I had great
fun painting it, because the sculpt is really awsome.
Painting is done in oils, so, tell me what You guys think,

I recognize the fountain as being a Verlinden piece, did you scratch build the birds and the cat?

Yes Roc, the fountain is a verlinden piece, the cats I have purchased in a package of two some years ago and they whore from Phoenix. The other cat I have used on my little musketeer, You have seen it allready. I had added a little bird too.

The base for the little birds came out of the package of farm animals from Tamiya 1/35 were You will find in a donkey, a pig with little ones, some goose, a dog, chickens with chicks.....

So I have used the little chicks, toke a little small piece of plastic card and glued it on the tail of the chick, added some putty on it, make the little wings with putty a little longer and did the same with the beak.

Nothing more too it to change a little chick in to a little singing bird.
