Hi guys,

I am just in the process of painting up some 28mm figures and something occurred to me regarding the wearing of jackets by the Indian tribes.

Does anyone know whether the jackets worn by indians were war trophies or worn to show their allegiance to either the British or French armies? I suppose I really want to know if my warband would be in red or white jackets, if in British service?

I would be greatful if anyone with better knowledge than I have could shed some light on the subject!

thanks in anticipation,

Steve(y)

I think they were war trophies or maybe gifts to chiefs.Look forward to see your work. What figures are you using?

Thanks Mark - they are a mix of Redoubt and AW Miniatures, picked up at various times. Perhaps Ill mix and match the jackets, then!

cheers,
