This bust has been ‘on the go’ for over three years. I bought it well before I should have done and i have lost count of the number of times it has been in the stripper bath. At one point, it actually ended up in the dustbin but I relented and retrieved it the day before the bin was emptied.....

My only aim today was to finish it. I could have stripped it again and started over but my heart wasn’t in it, I just wanted it finished so I could move on. This is the last of my old stash apart from a couple of figures. It is almost therapeutic to have put this in the cabinet no matter how badly done. I now can honestly say that the old days are gone and I can look forward to new challenges.

Three years, eh? .... That's what I call perseverance.
It's a nice and popular bust, so well done for digging it out of the dustbin and finishing it.

Cheers,
Andrew

I think you're not giving yourself enough credit - it's looking good!
I have the same bust sitting on a shelf, and have no idea when I'll get to it...

You're being too hard on yourself, in my opinion. It's far from bad work.
I sympathise about getting exhausted with working on one figure for too long - happens to me all the time.
My advice: put it away. You'll learn more and maybe get the impulse to tackle it again one day. If not, well, chalk it up to experience.

Many thanks, its in the cabinet now so it's out of the way now :)

I agree with sippod, it looks really good, I would never throw away a bust/figure, luckily you didn't in the end and I would have been pleased with your end result this time. It is a worthy addition to your collection.
