A Fixture
A few fortunate painters in our town have been given the opportunity of a lifetime to view three busts that appear on the box art of Young Miniatures figures. Mike Meehan (Meehan 34) has purchased the Alexander the Great, Kriegsmarine U Boat sailor, and the Black Devil Russian naval infantryman busts. These pieces were painted by Mr. Sang Eon Lee. Words escape me. I have been to a show or two and thought I had seen so much good work that I could not be really impressed anymore. My error. Mr. Lee is an out and out genius with the brush and color. His technique astounds me with the effectiveness of the finish. I just wanted to thank first of all Mr. Lee for his pure brilliance and also Mike for sharing his treasures. Enough inspiration there for a long time. Thanks, gents!
