Hi Peter

Just a lovely piece of painting from the various shades to the formation badges

Looks like you enjoyed this for sure

Thanks for sharing

Happy benchtime

Whoa! Peter slow down, I have been painting that bust on and off for about 2 years and you have just bumped it out looking brilliant in a couple of days, no grey army in your house. Great work.

Nap - Thoroughly enjoyable to do. Glad you like it.

Chris - Thank you. All power to the sculptor foe realising such details.

Ken - Thanks also.

Terry - Unfortunately, there isn't much of a grey army at the Chateau Day. I am a bit speedy I'm afraid, but I get carried away with enthusiasm for the thing and before I know it, it's done. Full figures take much longer, so perhaps I need to switch for a while.

Steve - Many thanks.

Phil - Thanks.

Yes, I've tried to paint him as a Lancashire Fusilier. I had a big fail with the Mitches bust of that subject and have wanted to redress the balance ever since. He doesn't have the shoulder titles, but I perhaps they have been removed before going into action?

Excellent painting. Like the color variations between the uniform jacket and the other equipment.

Steve - Thank you.

Mobo - Many thanks.

Mike - Glad you like him. Colour wise, I used a mix of Vallejo US Olive Drab and Flat Earth for the uniform, Stone Grey for the webbing and the olive drab again for the bandolier, all shaded with German Camo Black Brown and Off White.

Morning Peter

Another superb finish, great blending and all that drapery, super all round.

Well done.

You really need to alternate between a bust then a figure so you can slow the production line down to 2 pieces a week!

How is the cabinet cull going?

Are there some going into Dettol for a 2nd life?

Have a good weekend with the next victim

Regards

Steve H

Hi Steve

This was a terrific bust to paint, really enjoyable, so progress was fast. As you say, I need to work on a few full figures in order to slow down - the longer days have also meant longer bench time, which is another factor.

The cabinet is actually looking a bit empty and I have several boxes of figures ready for the Dettol - a good resource for leaner times.

Not sure what to work on next......
