Attached is a photo of Lt. Winston Churchill, officer of Hussars and war correspondent, taken at the time of the Boer War, indeed he's wearing a Boer hat. This was the period in his life where he was making his myths, becoming famous and gaining public interest.

I was attracted to the image and decided to try a figure of Young Winston. Completed in Magic Sculpt and Kneadatite, in 1/16th scale.

He's holding a bamboo cane with a large polished head and is armed with a Mauser C96 pistol - and some would say, an abundance of coolness under fire and sacks full of luck. The bamboo cane is the type that might have contained a hidden sword. IMHO that would have been right in character.

Hope you like it! Looking for a painter...

All the best,
Dan

Dan, great to see a sculpt of Winnie in his early career, normally when you think of the guy the first thing that spring's to mind is him in WW11 in his top hat and large cigar giving the V sign. Nice job and sorry I don't paint.

Cheers Ken

Looks very good Dan - as usual.

Shame I'm only painting larger scale busts at the moment or I'd have welcomed the chance to complete another Dan Morton original!
