My wife bought this bust at a boot fair in Kent for £1.50
i dont know the maker as it was in just a plastic bag
painted in oils over acrylic

that's a Bonaparte's piece. Been on my wish list for a couple years now, I'm jealous, lucky you! Out of production for a while now. Keep us posted, would like to see your version as it comes together!

my mistake, is this your painted version? I'm sorry, I guess I originally thought it was posted just for identification. If this is yours, the fleshtones are great and I really like the colors you achieved on the beard!
 
what the heck is in his mouth? very nice work

i see the pipe now,when I first looked at the pic, all I saw was the stem. I did not see the pipe bowl against the
uniform.
 
Great painting & a good choice of colors. I'll bet he probably carried an extra scabbard for that pipe.

its is a pipe! it was a third longer than that originally until i cut it down .
i dont really like the bust that much he seem to have a strange neck
that looks even stranger form the side.i doubt its one i would choose myself.
