At last I got it posted
This is from my oil painting days, Following tips given to me by a great
painter Joe Shaw sadly no longer with us although he was over eighty
when I met him.

No black paint is used, instead over an undercoat of dark green, Burnt umber
is applied. Shading is Prussian blue, and deep shading is prussian blue and
Burnt umber. Higlights are sap green and white. For effects shadows are
sofened with violet and orange is used on the highlights.

This was a very enjoyable project and one I would recommend

Thank's a lot Guy
I am playing with my new toy, the camera is terrific, the problem
lies with the chap that presses the button.

I went over to acrylics about a year and a half ago
but I still prefer oils for flats.

Hi Frank

Just thinking about your pic, after we spoke on Sunday.
Was the focusing set to macro for that pic? Possible that for that image it shouldn't be set to macro.

Keep on messing around; hope your experiments this wednesday work out good.
