Hi Gotdon

Good release and sculpting like the options available

Thought Regimental museums could be interested in this

Thanks for sharing

Nap

Gordon excellent piece of supersize sculpting in a totally believable pose, I can see where your popular market is with this, as Nap says Regimental Museums and perhaps anyone who has served, if it had of been an 120mm figure or 1/10 bust I would of had it, the Bronze version has got to be a winner as well.

Nice to see this back Gordon, Is the LI one a new head? If you can get some pics of the TOS and Glengarry I might be able to drum up some business for you.
Best wishes pal,

Scotty.

Nice casting, Gordon - reminds me of how I looked back in the summer of '81.......

I got a photo somewhere of me looking a bit like that. That'll be a ball-ache to paint that DPM convincingly in that scale. Nice figure and a sensible move to do a cold cast bronze version, which will appeal to a lot of veterans.

Been racking my brains and I'm pretty sure early tours were in olive drab combats. DPM was introduced in '68 but not widely used until 1970 onwards. So a get out clause if wanted,

Yeah, I think it must've been 1970 before we got the cabbage. Good escape clause Bill(y) That said, I'm painting a Vietnam US Marine at the moment and I've had a real battle getting the OD shade right.

Amen to that Chris and I bet if we tried to recreate the look today, we would find that the flak jackets had shrunk quite a bit due to storage since then......!

Hope you are keeping well mate.

Hiya Gary,
Yeah, the old tailor's shop at Palace Barracks wouldn't get much business out of me these days! I'm doing OK right now, will PM you later with latest news.
Best to you & yours for Xmas & a better 2021.
Chris:)

Hello mate
The figure has been completely re vamped from the original by Moz. The LI beret is a new head but the RM is one of the old heads which still fit. PeeDee has done me a new Queens Own Cameron Highlanders TOS. Some pics attached.
Cheers

Great service from Gordon.
Figure arrived with a couple of heads and the Northern Ireland medal casting. Figure ready to prime. Just trying to decide on LI or RHF. Leaning towards the jock at the moment. Great chunky figure.
