Hi P'fers,

Whilst the 54mm Young General Bonaparte is being prepared for casting I decided to sculpt a 1/9th scale version based on the same Detaille painting. This has gone through a couple of changes in mediums. I firstly used polymer clay to sculpt the head, but wasn't happy, so I then ground back most of that and re-sculpted in epoxy. Still needing a couple of little 'tweaks' here and there but I'm happier with the facial feature's this time round.
Thanks for looking.

Hi Chris

Nice to see you posting this piece , never painted a Napoleon .., this wil be my first !

Really good facial work and must comment ref embroidery ..looks equally as good ....are you adding it to the glove as well ?

Might be pics but gap on left as we view him looks slightly too much ?

Will paint up nicely for sure

Happy sculpting

Hi Kevin,

Thank you. As for the 'gap', I'm not sure I follow. Are you referring to the collar and the head? I think it may be the photo and angle, it's sometimes a little misleading in picture form. His head is slightly turned and so the space within the collar isn't going to be the same, especially with the style of collar he has.

Regards
Chris.

Hi Nap,
Was wondering why you'd been a little quiet of late. I've been doing a commision sculpt for future release, 90mm USMC Pacific War. Waiting on a couple of things before I can complete it.
Cheers.
