Marvelous job Kev, nice work on the Blues.

Considering she's got a new Brandy keg, she could cheer up a bit...

Very nice indeed, Nap! Maybe one of your best (IMHO anyway) (y)

I believe you used to paint with water based oil paints before, but I see this one was painted using acrylics. May I ask which ones (brand) ?

Keep up improving!

Cheers!

Hi Nap,

"As for Acrylics , I used the Scale 75 tubed and also P3 paints , trialling mixing and using separate"

I know, but have never used Scale 75 paints (not sure one can find them for sale from local dealers here; I believe they are made in the USA, so they would be expensive here, if they exist at all). Didn't know about those P3 you mention (made in Australia I believe, right? Same problem as for the Scale 75 ones, import + customs fees would make them too expensive on the local market), had never heard of these before.

Thanks (y)

Cheers!

Great job Kev....just a very personal opinion I would have give the blues a thin coat of AK ultra matte varnish...but that's just me ...(y). Mike

Thanks Mike

Good point .....I did shakefora very long time Vallejo Matt and applied .......will get some AK AK ultra Matt ...never used it before ...any advice ?

Looking at her now a lot of the shine was for on the overhead lighting

Hi Kev.... I find it really good and you can work over it once it has dried...it's AK interactive((AK183) ultra matte varnish. I got mine from scale model shop.....worth a try....all the best Mike

Thanks Mike ...is there any real difference between the matte and the ultra matte ?

Excellent looking piece Nap. Very well painted. I have used the AK products and actually mixed them with other brands to get the right sheen in different areas without any problem with adhesion. Keep up the great work in all you do.
