Now that the self-imposed gloom of my FINAL aircraft kit has concluded (HOORAY!!) it's time to return to proper modelling.

Hi David

Congratulations on the new job and on completing that planey model

Great figure choice , intrigue how you going to use the gravestones ...perhaps a sentinel standing over lost comrades ?

Following with interest

Happy benchtime

Thanks Nap.
I bought the grave stones a while ago. Marketed as 1/35, they're hugely over-sized so needed a 75mm fig.
No legend on them, which means some careful scribing is required.
Straightforward enough...
Yep.
No problem at all...

The wooden base edging.
That last corner is always a bugger.
Suppose that's what groundwork is for...
(Coffee shop stirring sticks and cast-off 9mm plywood).

Oops!
I think I just changed my mind.
Tommy Atkins in place of Billy Yank, who will now await his turn.
Today has been a trying one, that's for sure (it started at 5.30 am). So calm and predictability are in short supply.

Does this scenario look familiar to anyone?

(Speakers are behind my seat, either side of my head ... great sound!)

Hi David

Are you starting another thread for Tommy ? ...or would you like me to change the thread title

Got to have music when I'm at the bench

Have fun

It's on!
Or rather, they both are.
Third attempt; the downside of superglue is you don't get a "tacky" phase when you can adjust position.
Such is resin- and metal figure-modelling.
Anyway, the musket butt rests on the ground and it'll soon be in place.
