Hello Family!!! This is KaBooM!!! A Fantasy Bust from Nick Tsouhlos!

Scale 1:12!!! KaBooM is a Goblin ready to explode him self! He wearing a bomb helmet and he is ready to suicide with his squad!!!
I will start painting the helmet! I will use TMM and an old technique with liquid mask to make it looks like used and rust!! The skin tone I will do it dark green!!
Lets go!!!

First paint the helmet orange to looks like rust!



next base skin tones and the scull on his hemet bone



liquid mask on the helmet with a sponge




next I paint the helmet with metallic paint



next washes



next take off the liquid mask



next highlight on the skin....

Looking good, I've seen the masking trick in various form used on armour/vehicles but wouldn't have thought to see it used on a figure. Looks good though, will watch with interest.

Yeah this technique is for vehicles!!But I say why not!! need more work to make some details! but I like it!

The bust is amazing!Have very good texture which guide you how to paint it!!
More progress today!!

I make some highlights on the rust and add little spots of green and brown to looks more organic rust



Next I make some glazes with orange and first highlights on the skin! Also I paint the eyes!

It’s looking great being watching the thread,lik what you’ve done with the helmet like the rust effect looks very natural.the skin tones have come out great it’s working out very well all round.

It a nice interlude before your trip to Panama!!!!
