Hello folks, finished my first labayen figure.
I am very pleased with the end product and it was a lot of fun to paint it.
The Royal Deux-ponts is one of my favorite Regiments in French Service.
The regiment was created under the Reign of Louis XV in 1757 in France , the troopers wore recruited in Germany , from a small region called Zweibrücken/Two Bridges) .
it took part in the 7 years war and played an important role with the French Expeditionary force which saw its last battle at Yorktown.
At the outbreak of the French revolution it was renamed number 99.
Uniform: traditionally, the foreign regiments wore their coats in blue ( for the german Regiments).
In 1781 their uniform was a dark sky blue coat with lemon yellow cuffs, lapels and piping at the pockets, white turnbacks with yellow fleur de lys or grenades badges.
i will post the mixings later.
cheers

These figures are really hard to find, i have to thank Eduardo (Edorta) whom made possible to get my hands on the figures.
there are few places that you could try too.
Ebay has them once in a while or some auctions like www.todocoleccion.com

i will send you a private message to discuss more about it.

Hi Daniel
I have four quite major sculpts on the go and two other just painting projects. If there is such a thing as just paint.
Now that the winter is coming on here I should spend more time indoors and get some serious figure work in.
Cheers,
Keith

Winter is coming...( too much game of thrones i've been watching lately :))
I am sure you will have a great time painting and sculpting.
I have still sculpt a figure from scratch yet but i don't want to be disappointed with myself, but looking forward to see your stuff mate.
Cheers

Excellent work - remember seeing these advertised many years ago but these were almost impossible to find when I was young.

Cheers
