I stsrted working on another 3 fusiliers, the coats are almost done.
As for the cartridge boxes, i have paint them on vallejo read leather as a base color and tried GW screamer pink with a well diluted mix and apploed few washes of it with a better result than carrobourg crimson....

You are doing it again mate ...wonderful whites ! ....like tge way you highlight the other colours as well ..very effective to the finished piece .

What's next heading for the bench ...perhaps a young lady with her escort

Thanks for sharing as always a real pleasure seeing the artistry

Always a soft spot for ladies my friend ;-)

Hi Daniel

That firing line looks great and lethal !..a lovely bit of work .

Like the addition of a Marshall ...leading from the front ...I quite like the baton but as you said not in keeping with battle!

Happy painting

Good afternoon Kev, yes!, i love the baton .
Unfortunately the figure does not have the lace on it for to be a Marshal , perhaps it was a simpler coat worn in battle but my thinking of jist painting a regular officer on horseback is that a Marshal.would have been with the general.staff for the most part, and i don't have the space nor the figures to create that.
Plus a marshall wouldn't be so close to the volleys from the enemy.
The breast plate and coat makes a perfect figure for officer.
They wore a breasplate in battle.
Cheers my friend
