Hello Folks

I have attached photos of the new 1/32nd scale diorama sculpted by Maurice Corry and based on the painting by Alphonse De Neuville which portrays the defence of Rorke's Drift during the Anglo - Zulu War of 1879.

Included in these initial photos is the base & accoutrements along with Part 1 consisting of 5 x resin kits. The base is a substantial piece measuring 175mm x 150mm and includes various bits including zulu shield, ammunition & store boxes, martini henry rifle, zulu knobkerry, 4 x spears and british pith helmet.

The 5 x resin figures consist of Lt. Chard being handed ammunition by a corporal, a kneeling private, a private firing and a sergeant firing.

Prices;
Base & accoutrements = £20 .00
Part 1 = £60.00

These prices include standard shipping but insured postage is available for an additional £5.00. I have a few sets available at the moment but will be casting more next week.

Payment is by Paypal Friends & Family using my email address [email protected] When sending payment please include ' Rorkes Drift Bae/Part 1' and please remember to include your address.

Part 2 will consist of a further 5 x resin figures.

I hope to have a few sets available for the Figure World Show this weekend and if anyone would like to reserve one for collection please let me know.
Cheers
Gordon

A great idea to depict scenes from historic paintings in the form of dioramas at this scale. How about looking at Lady Butler's "Scotland Forever", the return from the charge (Balaclava) or even the death of Nelson.? So much great potential out there. Congratulations on another great product from the team.

Another great scene, well done to all concerned. Hope this theme from famous paintings continues to inspire more super scenes.
