I have at least forty GI figures(@Nigel) to work with, and I haven’t even counted the US Navy guys I have for the crew.

That's madness!! It will be beyond awesome when it's done. Any idea when that might be.........?

BTW you are right to be selective in how much work you put into each figure. Because the viewing angle will be limited, don't waste time on stuff that won't be seen.
