    The "horns" are clips to hold the goggles in place. Usually, this are folded down on the side of the helmet.

    WWII Japanese Navy Pilot 1/32

    Nice job Gary! One minor thing: Japanese pilots were issued with white silk scarves as part of their flight kit. Colored scarves are virtually absent from period photos. I hope this helps! Cheers!! Mike

    German Pilot WW1

    Wow David! Thanks for painting these two busts! It is really great to see them so nicely painted. Both are brilliant, as everybody has pointed out. One minor detail on this bust: the buttons are metal (brass). Thanks again! :)

    Alpine miniatures 1/16th scale

    Yep! I noticed. In fact, as the sculptor it was deliberate. Like much Confederate equipment, the belt is a "captured" or liberated Union item. Thanks to everybody for the nice compliments! If you want to see more figures like it from Alpine, buy this one..... Cheers!! Mike
