This is my attempt at a conversion of the relaxed 1917 figures to 'in action' 1918 Doughboys

Long time modeler, been around figure modeling since the 80's, currently immersed in "The Great War" aircraft figures and vehicles.

Meng FT 17 and modified ICM 'stormtrooper' figure, used the base that came with the Meng kit, but added front and back sections, and some side as well

Has anyone seen the Emhar WWI 'Doughboys'? Are they of any use? Are they styrene, (and 1/35) at least?

The reference and few photos I have give the WWI coat as black, and the '39 coat as brown, but the most recent releases of figures reverse that, brown for WWI and black for later, as I am reworking/converting French tank crew for both eras, clarification would be nice.

I am making two Pacific dios, one the 11th Marines at Guadalcanal, and another a 105 mm Howitzer, on the beach at Iwo Jima. The 'base' colors called out by the kit instructions seem very wrong to me, the Guadalcanal marines in a light (institutional interior) green and the 105 crew in light...

Thanks Yes, It's 6379, but the figures are converted to a howitzer crew, I don't think I'm going to attempt the 'twill' effect at 1/35, I'm not that good, but I will do the sweat and grime. Met Ron years ago at Chicago, amazing guy, and very nice.

I've been converting the Dragon Guadalcanal Marines into a gun crew for the Vision Models 75mm pack howitzer. I wanted to set the dio in Guadalcanal, but the pre war fatigues worn during that campaign are, according to the paint and illustrations a very light green. Does anyone know better? What...

Dual mounts were rare, in the Army, but there were some in the Navy, find somewone with the 1/32/5? PT Boat, PT' s used a twin .50 mount. FWIW

The photos I have all show one color winter garb, mostly gray (probably 'mouse gray'), despite the snow on the ground, probably because it was a partially 'urban' battle, the gray would be likely. In any case, the more colorful 'prints' didn't become typical until later, (Kharkov was in early '43).
