Hi Guys

Just wanted to say a big thank you to PF member Kevin D for sending this gem to me

Despite being caught at our beloved customs ...the words "chuffed to bits" sums it up

Happy days are here again

Well, I guess a thank you and a hearty "PLUCK YEW" are due to the postal folks!! LOL Glad you got it!

I completed the one I had as a going away gift to my Training Officer of 22 years ago who became my friend, colleague and mentor over this interesting career. She retired and it kinda summed up the humor you need to live the life.

Best,

Kevin

Andy Cairns work is always a joy. Whatever the subject or scale his 'characters' are consistently brilliant, and this one is particularly so.
I don't do busts but with this one I'm green with envy..........what a gem !!

Just noticed from the boxart he's got another famous characteristic from the later British Army...….missing teeth!
(3 teeth per Battalion, interchangeable between soldiers. I've never served among a larger group of denture wearers;))

Don't want to hijack this thread or anything, but I've had these on file for a long time and thought they might be of interest
to anyone thinking of becoming an Andy Cairns 'complete-ist'...............

now there is a thought. Like all these characters, they seem to exude personality.
Where can the ignorant me get these jewels?

You might like to put in the marketplace and contact Andy himself ...

I wouldn't mind getting that German myself

Good luck ...you won't regret any purchase full of character

Nap
