Hi Auggie, is this the first Figure with oils or first resin figure? When you say it’s not taking with a primer coat, is that primer then a base coat in the required colour( enamels or acrylic) before the oils or oils straight onto the primer? Some of the colours can go on quite opaque so if it’s going straight onto a primer it might cause the effect you’re referring to. Either way, stick at it and as BP says, enjoy it. I struggle with not getting my green mix to dry flat and yours looks to have dried out a lot better than mine does. Nice job on the Figure by the way.

Hi Neal,
I primed the figure with Tamyia grey primer. Then went straight to oils. I hardly ever do an undercoat of the base colours. I guess I will always be "old school" and prefer metal figures.
