Hi guys

Following on from Grods release announcement here

Sculpted by Offo ...it's got such a great face it was a no brainer for me to decide to get a copy

Thought I would just add a few things to him

A Legion d'honneur

A tie badge

Backing to the badge to depict 7th Bn Parachute Regt

Not sure ref tie badge as I quite like the idea of a striped tie if I can find the right reference

Here is mine with backing in place and WIP on the Legion d'honneur

Legion d'honneur completed ..fairly happy !

Looking good Nap, I just knew you would get him and add bits to him and one was Legion d'honneur.

On seeing the Legion I thought it looked a bit small but measuring it up with dividers against a WW2 Star and the LdH I have it looks about right, must be the base colour. ...........As if you would get it wrong.

Hi Geoff

Thanks for comments .....I wasn't sure ref the medals so cheers for getting the dividers out ...it does need a bit more doing to it..but paint will bring it out more

Surprised you've not got a copy ?

He is on my list mate, but others keep bringing busts out that I really like, and there is Popeye now, love him.

Went for the early version ( my theory his father was a soldier and it was handed down ) ...the lions head is done ..waiting for putty to dry before adding the surround

Update ...put the surround details on British Legion badge .....just didn't look right ...lion was too big ....so ...off it came late last night .....

Plan B ...did the surround first ...looks a lot better ...but boy is the lions head a lot smaller ..but scaled better IMO !
