I hope I have done justice to this mounted figure from Chronos 3D miniatures. The scale is 54mm made in resin. I did have a few problems but thats down to my fat fingers. The reins are made from paper and the sword slings from lead foil.
The horse is painted in oils but the rest in acrylic paint.

Looks great Bob, but I think I see a small spot of red paint on the right gauntlet. Perhaps I am wrong.

Excellent result. The shading on the horse works really well, very natural looking.

Thank you both for the great comments, very grateful.

clsgt , bigger, missed that, I am going to put it down to a nosebleed.
Now sorted.

That's a very nice bit of horse painting you did there, Bob. Very colourful uniform too, I like the shading on the white coatee.

Many thanks Chris, I did enjoy the horse, oil's being the preferred method and would you believe this is my first horse. I took a shine to this figure when I first saw it.

Great work on the very nice figure Bob :). Fantastic result of your paintwork! I really like this type of guard ride, perhaps because they took part in the battle of Austerlitz, which took place on our territory, and it is one of the first uniforms I knew as a child from the cards issued in our country, which he painted our famous military illustrator Karel Toman. :)

PS Ivam sure you have very nice fingers ...lol

Thank you both for commenting and Borek for the picture which I had not seen before. It is a nice sculpt too.

Very nicely done Bob. You certainly have a steady hand on all those lines. Chronos produces some great figures on subjects out of the main stream. You have done it proud.

Take care and stay safe over there,
Cheers
Chris

Good painting.

I apologize for amending, but this is not quite 3D. The figure of the rider, weapons, as well as equipment of the horse were sculpted by hand.

I understand that not everyone can cope with the drawing of small details, but the guard regiments, including the Cavalier Guard, had collar tabs from a woven braid with a special pattern. The braid itself was red, and the pattern was yellow. Gold, as it is painted by you, was not in the guard braid. The same braid was trimmed with saddlecloth and holsters. This kind of braid served as a mark of distinction of the guard regiments until August 1811. The appearance of the guard’s braid can be seen in the photo below, on the example of unbuttoning the uniform of the trumpeter of Ulan’s Imperial Highness Tsesarevich Grand Duke Konstantin Pavlovich regiment.

Thank you for the additional information, I only used the Chronos 3D as this has been etched on the sprue's of the figure and horse.

A fantastic sculpt and not an easy figure to paint but I will try and paint the braid again

Thank you again
kind regards
Bob
