Working on this fun vignette that combines a 1/24 Italeri Jeep with a set from AC Models, and my own conversion of a Preiser Adam. Working on the shaving marine’s gear now, then I’ll be able to get painting. I just set the primed pieces together to see how it looks.

That’s a fantastic vignette Matt, I like the groundwork already in its base colour, & all the little items lying around add so much atmosphere & character - like the M1 helmet shell being used for one of the purposes it was designed for!

Hi Matt

Always a pleasure to see your modelling and the ideas you work on

Great stuff so far very clever use of both figures and vehicle with the stowage coming along nicely

Following with interest

Why not enter a piece in our FOTM as well ....

We also have a Vignette and Diorama competition which ends on 30/9 so plenty of time to build or enter a piece

Thanks for sharing

Happy benchtime

Finally starting to get some paint on this; first shot of USMC forest green on the jeep, and a stab at ‘frogskin’ cammo on the folded poncho and draped tent. The cammo will get toned down when its shaded, it’s a bit garish now.

Hi Matt

Progressing nicely there ....didn't realise the camo was called that !

Going to be more impressive as this continues

Like the flip top containers you use

Happy Benchtine

Also called ‘duck hunter’ cammo. Those little containers are handy and cheap! I always used to mix paint in the airbrush cup, which is a bad habit :(. They are just the right size to mix paint with your thinner, then the cap keeps them fresh until use.

Hi Matt

Thanks for the updates , getting to be more and more details , painting is coming along nicely

Thanks for sharing
