Hello everyone.
This figure is the latest 1/35 scale of TAMIYA. I painted a 3D scan figure for the first time and it was an interesting experience. I learned a lot.

No Synthesizers Used?
No Computers Used?
Don't Look Back!!

Very impressive painting for 1/35 scale!

Agree there looking I thought it might be at least a 75 ....obviously not !

Really like the uniform colour and the way you've painted the magazine pouch

Nice groundwork

...Hope they do some Brits!

Oh, they do, Mike, have done so for years. Check out their 1/35 armor kit line. Tamiya always includes one or two figures with an armor or vehicle kit, and they have some sets of figures as well. A lot of us started out painting Tamiya's kit figures. But then many move on to resin and white metal, with crisper details. And people look back on Tamiya's more basic figures and say, "Oh, they're no good, no detail," etc, etc. To me, they're like Historex' or Airfix' kit figures. They are what you make of them.

Prost!

Thank you for your comment,I aimed for the 1/35 scale to look like the 1/16 scale.
1/35 scale? This is surely one of the most impressive brushworks in this scale I've ever seen.
Karl
Thank you for your comment. It was a very tiring brushwork.

Another amazing mini mate!
You painting with an optivisor or microscope?
Amazing detail & moulding in these Tamiya figures.
Hope they do some Brits!

Thank you Mike, the magnifying glass I used is the same as that used in the previous Alpine figure. I don't think an expensive microscope is needed for modeling and painting.

Absolutely.....an astonishing piece of work at that scale. Goodness me that's so impressive !!

Mike

Thank you! I'm very glad.
Wonderful paintwork

Thank you!

I gave up on Tamiya 1/35th figures years ago as the more detailed resin offerings came on the market. This shows they warrant another look. In addition to showing what can now be done with a current Tamiya plastic figure with superb painting, I once again applaud the photography.
