Hi Steve

Apologies missed updates

Flesh is looking good on Chasseur and Hussar

As for the piper looks really good , do like the banner you've done the model justice so far

Look forward to seeing the next update

Storm Troopers 1/6th Scale CHASSEURS A CHEVAL OF THE IMPERIAL GUARD

The Bearskin Colback has been airbrushed with Tamiya rubber black, followed by a high pass of German dark grey . Needs a wash of tamiya black panel line. Then can start on the reds.

Colback is not fixed to the torso yet.

Will do, just waiting for a base for the Piper to arrive.

Very neat blocking in

Are you using Darkstar metallics ?

Thanks for sharing

Hi, Yep - these have been painted with the Gold Braid colour, using Da Vinci maestro brushes (#1 , #2). Find these brushes hold their spring and points a bit better than the Windsor and Newton ones.

Storm Troopers 1/6th Scale CHASSEURS A CHEVAL OF THE IMPERIAL GUARD;
Braid work on the Bearskin Colback has been shaded with Liquatex brown/sepia ink. and red has had a top coat of crimson red added over the burnt red base coat. Braid work on the torso has been added in along with the preshading on the pelisse fur;

More work on this chap last night, with help from a bottle of Corona and 'Danger Close' on Netflix:

Pelisse fur has had its mid tones and highlights added and the base/shade red has been painted. 1st coat of braiding painted in on the Pelisse, coming together now;
