Despite the best efforts of the Belgian customs to make life miserable and costly for the international minded modeler, this parcel arrived this morning unhindered at my doorstep: some sets of quality Roubloff brushes. I'm afraid W&N might be loosing another customer!

Only with oils Keith, for blending and for the finer work with thinned oils. I usually work with thin successive layers of oils over matt Humbrol enamels, with the final touches wet on dry, hope this makes sense somehow! IMO these brushes, both kolinski and synthetic, compare very favorable to W&N. They are much in use by the great Russian freehand painters, being very good in the hand.

Now, if they could send some cans of artistic craftsmanship!

cheers,

Pierre

Thanks Pierre, as an oil painter it gives me the confidence to use them, I've hesitated because they were expensive on Amazon but l couldn't find them anywhere else.

I know some of the top acrylic painters use them krill kannev (not sure if that is the correct spelling) was giving them away as samples on a course attended by one of our club members, that's why l bought some. Hope some of his painting skills are built in..lol

Pierre, have you tried the Mini War Paint ones? It seems they are made by the same company who does Roubloff and try to improve over W&N Series 7 perormance for minis painting.
I got mine only a couple of days ago , so herd to judge so far.

No, I have not tried them. I see they also sell some Roubloff ones too. I also use Raphael ones which hold more thinned paint than W&N, and Broken Toad flats for blending wet on dry, but of course fine brushes are very much a personal choice.

cheers,

Pierre
