Hi Bill ! I think the figure is from the set released by Gunze Sangyo entitled "Letter From Home-set 2". The master is by that doiyan of fugure sculpting,Yoshitaka Hirano. An excellent piece !
Kenneth.

Hi Bill and Kenneth.
Yes,the figure comes from the capable hands of mr.Hirano, sold under Gunze label.
I've changed the head for another one from Hornet. The original head was wonderful but I changed it because I needed a Whermatch late war cap

cheers

Wonderful Jaume!!

interesting to see the first of these two with the early stages of highlighting only. I can see your brush strokes!! That all seems to disappear on the completed figure. How do you do that!

I know you're a 'Vallejo' man, but do you do anything specific to blend the final piece? Very vague question I know!

Jaume,
De verdad que tus piezas son obras de arte. Podrias discutir un poco sobre tu metodo para pintar camoflaje con acrilicos? Mil gracias!

Beautiful work as usual Jaume.

I would love a phonetic spelling of your name. I guess it's the Obsessive Compulsive disorder kicking in. Is it pronounced with a J sound or an H sound. Forgive my ignorance.

Jaume no dijiste que hasta el viernes no enseñarías las fotos?? que malo eres maravillosas, quiero más

John, it's pronounced like... Jaw-ma

Hi folks. Thanks for the nice comments.

Rob.Usually I start painting the base colour and doing two or three rude highlights and shadows.
Then,I blend these with intermediate tones and a lot of patience :)
As you can see in the pic,I've done three highlights and two shadows.I'll post a pic with the blending tomorrow

Pete.Gracias por el comentario.Estoy preparando un artículo sobre la pintura de camuflajes alemanes para dentro de muy poco.

Best Regards

OK maybe I missed it, oils or acrylics? Either way I love your work and the warmth your figures have!

Jaume, beautiful work on the figures (y) (y) How many intermediate tones do you use to blend your flesh areas with Your comments on this will be greatly appreciated. Thanks and cheers !

Jaume

Thanks for your response.
When you say blend, do you mean thin washes? or is there any wet-wet blending?

BTW, for my german I used your article on field grey. As my man was in the depths of winter stalingrad, I've used a pale blue and white for my highlight mix with the field grey, to keep the 'cool' feel of his conditions.

Jaume-

Excellent work. Always an inspiration to see your work.
You seem to capture the individual character in you face painting so well.
