I can't remember if he's 25 or 30mm. I want to decorate the horse blanket, but I have to decide what to paint on it yet.

Any comments/critiques welcome, as usual.

Maybe you could have painted half of each side yellow and the other half red, with a yellow lion on the red section, and a red one on the yellow. I'm sure it would be a challenging paintjob though.~Gary

Actually, I have a little Thunderbolt Mt. knight painted with that pattern of colors. I'm still working with the yellow shadows on that one. Somehow adding violet made it muddier than usual. I probably should have used a different shade of yellow. I plan on doing exactly your suggestion on that one after I fix a few things. I have at least 15 or so of these little guys, so I have lots of room for experimentation.

Hmm, is it best to paint the lions on first then paint all the shadows, or is it better to completely paint the base fabric and shadows then paint the lions (or whatever embellishment) and their shadows?

Thanks for the comment, Gary. :)

Hi Wendy,

Nice job on this figure.

Generally, the horse comparison had the same crest as on the shield, if you want to be historically correct. So you could do a gold lion on each quater panel. Remember that on all sides of the horse the lion must face in the same direction, in this case to the left/forward.

Keep up the good work.
