This is my latest work, a beautifully sculpted Andrea bust. I decided to paint him fade and pale; one of my friends is fond of such shades.
Painted in acrylics only.
Tkanks for my friend Artur for good photos!

Very nice paint job, he looks like he has had a hard life. Wgat was the quality of the casting like on your bust? did you have any nasty seam lines?

megroot - yes, the fitting was OK. See at the photo below, how I composed him without grinding and without using the glue:

tommi - quality was OK. He had only a small feeders on both sides of his neck. See below:

In my opinion, it is "self-painting" figure, one of most beautiful I ever painted. Did you know who is the sculptor?
Thanks for all good words :)

Great painting.A touch too pale for me but it really does portray devastation perfectly.

Thanks also for the close-up look at the piece before work.
It seems your bust is a lot better than some of the earlier ones we've seen.

Nice work on the toned-down effect. Not to take away from your painting, but your copy of this bust looks like a much better casting than some. He really looks like he's tired and has been fighting amongst dusty columns.

Theodoros - yes, when my friend Artur did him photos, he was still alive...
Thanks for comments :)
Love the effect you got on this bust.Brilliant to see something different for a change.
I tried out an experiment on a figure last year, just for a change.I painted this whole figure with different shades of grey, including the chain mail.

Nice crusader!
I like painting experiments. I hate (!!!) to paint figures as per art-box. If I will have good photos of my "experiments", I will show its. I'm very poor photographer :(

I'm not very good at photography either ,but i would love to see pictures of other figures you have painted.I called my figure "The Mists of Time" and got an award for him at Euro ,but can't remember what award i got.

Hi Katarzyna,

What a great paint job this is!
Really very expressive. This guy looks as if he's barely alive after one hell of a battle.

Hats off! Your painting and use of the colors and tones have enhanced an already well sculpted buste.

grtz
