Ok ladies and gents, this is were I stand with the Piper.

Pics are not bad when compared to the CRAP of a month ago (even the last batch were of this same acceptable level) so they have to suffice :D

Red tunic and arms will recieve the LAST tweaking when (now that is a good question....WHEN) they'll be assembled in position, so that I would be seeing the RED as a whole.

Gold/brass sword belt plate, buckle, and Claymore sword basket hilt and scabbard tip, are to be finished yet, with shadows and highlights. The pewter buttons also need a highlight and shadow

All piping from collar to torso, to cuffs IS READY

All white leather webbing IS READY

Water canteen is not ready yet with some more highlights and shadows obviously needed

Haversack is just a base colour on the lower part, as on the upper part it is finished together with the canteen leather sling

Sporran as you can see is NOT READY

Warmest Regards to all,

Ray ;)

Hello, Ray.
Great start!
Awesome painting!
The design of the kilt is cool in particular.
I'd like to see your progress early.

Hello Ray:

Wow, just beautiful work on the plaid. I notice you have highlighted the top
edge of the pleats, a nice touch; of course, I realize that may be where the
white line of the plaid "broke". Also, re the scabbard, I really love the way
you paint leather. Eager to see more WIP snaps. . .

Thanks for you kindness Rick, much appreciated.

That "highlight" on top of the pleats is actually the yellow stripe :)

Ray ;)

Stunning work on the reds Ray and the way you have created the tartan on the bagpipes gives a great look of fabric which i think would be hard to achieve.
