Ray, stunning work, my apology if it's been asked before , but how did you achieve the textured look on the sleeve.

Cheers Ken

Thanks again guys.......you're making me blush

Ken, no apologies needed even if it was asked before :D

HONESTLY, I did not plan any texture on the sleeves or wherever. It is the number of acrylic layers that produce that "texture" without any planning per se :(

Cheers :)

Thanks a lot for looking and your overly praise Karsten, I really appreciate.

Ray ;)

Hi Ray, I've been away for a while but THIS brought me back to the Planet pages...NICE NICE very very NICE! Can you share with all of us the mix for your reds...
All the best brother,
Steve

Hi Steve :)

That's very kind of you and I really appreciate it.

Ok here go the Reds :D they are ALL Maimeri Acrylics :p

Base - Carmine + Sap Green

H.L. No1 Carmine
H.L. No2 Vermillion Hue
L.L. No1 Base + Sap Green
L.L.L. No2 L.L. + dab of Black

That is as far as I have reached with the highlights, that is I stopped at the Vermillion and plan to go further up 2 more lighter steps with Vermillion + Naples Yellow when I glue the arms in place so that I would be able "TO SEE" the Red as a whole

The pics are a tad BRIGHTER then REAL so the red is showing a bit on the scarlet side which is definitely not :D

Other Ranks had a red tunic while Officers including Colour Sergeants had a brighter scarlet tunic, thus they faded accordingly

Hope this helps :)

Cheers bro,

Ray ;)

Jim and Marcel thanks a lot for looking and for your kindness :)

Here are some updated pics

Carl you're the worst of them ALL to make me blush

You're loading a lot on my shoulders :(

Would gladly stride forward however then falter and fall beneath the weight :D
