Hello.

Finally I found some time to paint, and started a Legend Productions bust - Korean Generalissimo Chosun Dynasty.
The kit is very similar to one of Young's products, actually I'm not sure which one was first :)

So, the skin is almost finished (as I can see from pictures, few minor corrections are needed). The beard is just basecoated. I didn't paint the area behind the ears, as it's gonna be covered and not visible.
Your opinions are welcome :)
For reference I attached a boxart photo of finished bust.

Thanks for nice comments :)
Skin painted in oils, rest of the model will be painted in acrylics.

Very nice one indeed, I have the MIG Prod version on my desk, bit too long on my desk I'm afraid, but will finish soon - love your skin tones they are very lifelike.:)

Rob, Gordy - thanks for comments :)
Rob, you're right - the similar kit is MIG's, not Young's. My mistake. I hope you'll finish your soon :)

Great flesh tones Simon! Looking forward to the finished piece. I also have Young's version he did for MIG. Love the armor on this one, probably why I like this piece, a real challenge!

Simon,

Great start on this one: excellent face.
I particularly like the very realistic eyes. The twinkle is small and extremely lifelike!

Cheers,
Adrian

WIP Peer Critique Korean Generalissimo 1st update

Hallo.
Here's an update I've been expecting for a long time:).
Not much progress, but it's all I've got. Face and beard ready, so is the helmet (99%). The fur trimming is actually done, but I'm not happy with the result, so probably I'll try to improve it.
And official warning ;): do not start to paint this model, unless you have a really much time for painting. Extremely time consuming.
Cheers.

Looking really good, I too love the flesh tones. I was going to say after your first post that the beard needed more contrast but you have updated your post and added more to the beard, looks great now. I think the fur lining looks spot on.
