Butler's Ranger Sergeant, 1779 (ELITE MINIATURAS 75mm)

Hola, PF amigos,

I've just finished this project.

See larger images: Butler's Ranger Sergeant, 1779 (ELITE 75mm) by kaz6120, on Flickr

Info on ELITE MINIATURAS website shows its scale of this kit as 70mm but this figure is 75mm tall is the actual size.

Here are some WIP shots.

I used acrylics only.

As always, any comments are welcome.

Thank you very much Gordy,

The placard on the base is 2.0mm acrylic plate, title plate is printed out on label sheet.

Outstanding Kaz, wish I could paint as well as that using acylics. I got this one to do myself, one of my favorite figures.(y)

Cheers
Tommi

I have said Wow.

Wow! Kazufumi.
I have said Wow.
Indeed it's gorgeous and is a brilliant work.
I have checked many masterpieces about this figure.
And I could also see this time.:)
I'm excited.
It's perfect in everything.
Great!
I congratulate completion.:)

   Mitsutaka.:)

Very nice indeed. Just one question. Where are the leafs coming from? I would not mind to supply myself with that product.

Thank you very much, Tommi, Gordy, Mitsutaka, Carl, David, Marc, Jay, ALEXANDROS, John, and Piotr.
I'm glad you like it, and many many thanks to your warm comments.

I got this one to do myself, one of my favorite figures.
Cool! I wanna see your version, too!

I have checked many masterpieces about this figure. **** It's perfect in everything.
Yes there are many masterpieces about this figure. This is one of the popular classic, like Jay said, and I'm a big fan of classic masterpieces, like I still love AIRFIX figures, and I like to give a life to the classics.:)

It's still not perfect as I want, though. I want to improve the quality of my project in total more.

Just one question. Where are the leafs coming from? I would not mind to supply myself with that product.
All of the leafs are from JOEFIX products. JOEFIX really rocks. I used several kind of leaf and grass, and airbrushed a very thinned several kind of brown layers over whole ground to give a "unified look and settled tone" to it.

Thanks Mike, for your compliment. I really am encouraged. I did some small new challenges on painting face and whites, try not to use "pure white" to lighten up the skintone and white, because there's not so much "pure white" in real skintone and white clothes.

so I started painting skin from very very dark color. Even white trousers, I didn't use any "Pure white". The top highlight looks white but still "gray-ish white".

Stunning work!
To tell the truth, it's not my favorite subject. But your paint is so cool that I'm interested in it.
figure, base, just perfect!

Thank you very much, Merci beaucoup, Deneau! I'm glad you like this.

Thanks so much Makoto(aka Konrad), thanks for your honest comment on the subject, I really appreciate it. I like to listen to many different kind of opinions.

When I choose stock figure to paint, I usually select figure itself first, then era and subject next. so If I find the figure I can empathize with, I love to choose any era or subject.

Anyway, thanks a lot for your warm compliment!
